The mission
Real People. Real Stories. Real Perspective.
This show exists for one reason: to help the people who carry this industry keep going. Not with sales tactics or product training — the world has plenty of that — but with honest conversation about what the work really takes, and how producers survive it.
The full statement
Being a successful producer used to mean building relationships and knowing your products. Today it means near-mastery of a craft — underwriting, analytics, pharmacy contracts, self-funding, cost containment, wellness — on top of the relentless prospecting, cold calls, and rejection it takes just to earn a seat at the table.
And once you've earned the client, a single loss — your mistake, a team error, a carrier issue, an acquisition, a client's misfortune — can erase years of effort overnight. Most people outside our offices don't understand the work. Sometimes our own families don't either. That isolation is the part nobody trains you for.
So this platform focuses on the person, not the pitch. We share real stories — the wins, the failures, the hard decisions, the hard-won lessons — in candid, unscripted conversations with producers at every stage. If it helps even one person struggling to hang on realize they're not alone and they are capable of success, it's done its job.
What this show stands for
Every episode runs on the same handful of principles. They're not rules for guests to fear — they're the promise that makes an honest conversation possible.
There are no right answers here. We're after what's true, not what's polished.
We focus on your perspective and what you've learned — growth, not blame.
Challenges, missteps, and comebacks — not a curated success story.
Every episode opens easy and informal before it goes deep. No ambush.
If a topic's off-limits, just say so. We move on, no issue, no exceptions.
Who this is for
New to the book and wondering if the hard part ever lets up. It changes — and you'll hear how.
Years in, still carrying the weight. You've earned a room where the honesty runs both ways.
You walked away, and that's a story worth telling too. Why you left matters as much as why others stay.
The people who back a producer and rarely see the toll up close. This helps make sense of it.
Producers, veterans & the families who back them
Someone has been there, done it, and survived — and you can too. If you're open to a candid, unscripted hour about the real side of this career, we'd be glad to have you on.
